Zachary's 1st Day of School

Well, the day came that Mommy has
been "TEARFULLY" dreading!
HER BABY STARTED SCHOOL!
Now he will tell you he is NOT a baby,
but he will ALWAYS be my baby....
While he (as well as mommy) shed some tears,
he was doing better before we left him.
When I picked him up after school, he said,
"I liked school!" So that encouraged me,
yet made me even sadder...He really is growing up
(pardon me I need another box of tissues).

Abigail's 1st Day of School

Today was Abigail's 1st day of school for this year.She is in 2nd Grade this year. It's hard to believe! She is growing way too fast for me!!!! Of course, she totally enjoyed school. I haven't had to worry much about that yet. She has always enjoyed school. I pray that continues the next 10 years LOL The older and bigger she gets, the older mom feels though!

The ice cream truck went by the house but because they are so expensive we did not stop them. Instead Grandpa takes his littles ones to the store and lets them pick....aren't Grandpa's so nice!

MY 4 YEAR OLD

WHAT DO THESE TWO PICTURES HAVE IN COMMON, YOU WONDER! WELL, THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON, BUT LEAVE IT TO MY LITTLE BOY TO THINK THEY SHOULD. I WOKE THIS MORNING TO THE SOUND OF AN UNEXPLAINABLE NOISE. I LAID FOR A BIT AND LISTENED, THEN I SAT UP AND THERE LAY ZACHARY ON THE FLOOR NEXT TO ME WITH SOMETHING IN HIS HAND. I SAID WHAT ARE YOU DOING? HE REPLIES 'NOTHING'. NOT THINKING ANYTHING ABOUT IT, I LAY BACK DOWN AND THE NOISE BEGINS AGAIN. I SAT BACK UP AND ASKED AGAIN WHAT ARE YOU DOING AND I RECEIVE THE SAME REPLY. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES AND I FINALLY SAID ZACHARY, YOU BETTER TELL ME WHAT YOU ARE DOING. STILL REFUSING TO TELL ME I SAID YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN TROUBLE FOR LYING YOU BETTER TELL ME! I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO ASKING WHAT HE WAS HOLDING (I DID NOT HAVE MY SECOND SET OF EYES ON SO I COULDN'T SEE WELL) HE EVEN TRIED TO DENY HAVING ANYTHING IN HIS HANDS. FINALLY, I PUT MY GLASSES ON AND I SEE THIS RAZOR IN ZACHARY'S HANDS. HE IS TAKING THE LID OFF IT, HIS PANT LEGS WERE RAISED AND HE WAS GOING TO SHAVE HIS LEGS. LET ME TELL YOU THIS MOTHER ABOUT HAD A FIT! THEN I STARTED SAYING TO MYSELF "WHY IN THE WORLD DIDN'T YOU GET UP THE FIRST TIME AND SEE WHAT HE HAD" THEN HORRIBLE THOUGHTS GO THROUGH MY HEAD ABOUT HOW HE COULD HAVE CUT HIS LEG OFF OR HIS FINGERS AND IT GOES ON AND ON. WELL, THAT HAS BEEN MY SCARE FOR THE DAY. YOU WONDER WHY I DON'T WANT THIS LITTLE FELLOW IN SCHOOL? HE WILL BE A RING LEADER OF A GANG KNOWING HIM!!!! OKAY, I'M EXAGGERATING A LITTLE....I'M QUITE SURE HE WILL PROBABLY BE THE LEADER TO TROUBLE. HE IS WAY TOO DARING! WELL, I AM GOING TO TRY TO CALM MY NERVES A BIT...WAIT I BETTER GO CHECK THAT BURGER AGAIN...THEN WE'LL SEE WHAT WE CAN GET DONE AROUND HERE. THANKS FOR PUTTING UP WITH MY RAMBLING! IF YOU'VE READ THIS FAR, YOU ARE DEFINITELY A TRUE FRIEND IN MY BOOK! OKAY, GOTTA RUN I HEAR ZACHARY CALLING FOR THE DOG AND HE IS SO GULLIBLE THAT HE RUNS RIGHT TO ZACHARY.........

A Little Of The Last Few Weeks

(Sniff Sniff) As you will notice in the first few pictures, my "baby" is getting ready to head off to school in the next few weeks. Zachary's birthday actually fell 8 days short for Kindergarten, but he has been SOOO excited about starting school I couldn't deny him of that privilege of starting school so we decided to start him in Pre-School (Hold on while I blow my nose again). He had to go for a physical of course (like he hasn't been to the doctor recently ~ HUGE EXAGGERATION~ they gave him the okay for school (Wiping the tears AGAIN) but he did receive 5 shots! Of course, he didn't HAVE to have them this year, but mom decided he wasn't going to be any happier next year about shots than he was this year so we might as well get them over them. Yes, he cried and screamed (and yes mom cried too) but they were over in no time and now ready for school (Pardon me while I go have ANOTHER long cry)

One rainy day we decided to make cookies....my sister, Hannah, did the mixing of cookies and then I spent the next 7 hours (YES THAT IT CORRECT 7 HOURS) baking them. Needless to say, the next morning I had a HORRIBLE migraine. I'm not sure it was attributed to the 7 hours of baking, but it sounded like a good excuse. No we have not eaten all the cookies yet. We've even given some away and still have LOTS left. Oh by the way, these were MONSTER COOKIES! My Favorite!
