BEFORE I WAS A MOM

Before I was a Mom...
I made and ate hot meals. I had unstained clothing. I had quiet conversations on the phone.

Before I was a Mom... I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.
Before I was a Mom... I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to lullabies.

Before I was a Mom... I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about Immunizations.

Before I was a Mom... I had never been puked on, pooped on, spit on, chewed on, peed on or pinched by tiny fingers. I had complete control of my mind, my thoughts, and my body. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom... I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom... I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom... I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.
Before I was a Mom... I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment, or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!! I AM FINALLY UPDATING (JUST FOR YOU JILL) I HAVE A LOT OF CATCHING UP TO DO.....

Somewhere between Today & Tomorrow my Wonderful Mother turns another year sweeter. Yes, my Mother was a Leap Year Baby! I have the BEST Mother in the world. She would do ANYTHING for ANYONE if it's anyway possible. Mom, there just isn't enough words to thank you for all you've done. You've been a wonderful example to me! Now before I start getting slobbers all over the computer I'm just going to end it by this...

"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be
Put them all together & it spells MOTHER!

Happy Birthday, MOM!!! I Love you Lots!

A NOTE OF PRAISE TO THE LORD!

As many of you know, Zachary was to go to the Cardiologist today. Because of the family history of heart murmurs and surgeries the doctors felt it best to do an EKG & Ultrasounds. The results came back that his heart looks wonderful! The doctor said "He looks as good inside as he does outside" As for the heart murmurs, they found 2 of them. The doctor said that they are considered to be 'normal' murmurs. I said when I think of a heart murmur I do not think of normal. He replied that there are actually 5 'normal' heart murmurs a person can have and Zachary has 2 of them. He can continue normal daily routines which includes being a very active little guy! We praise the Lord for this report. With all he had been through already we just didn't want to have to face another problem or possibly surgery. We thank everyone for their prayers. Zachary did great. He was a little nervous at first ... he was afraid things were going to hurt. When the doctors explained what was going to happen he seem to relax a bit. He was VERY inquisitive about everything but that was okay. He had the right to know what they were doing to his little body LOL. Again, Praise the Lord & thank you for your prayers. This Mommy sure needed it!

Better late than never....HAPPY 9th Birthday, Abigail!

So I am WAYYYYY behind on blogging...WHAT'S NEW!!! LOL On January 2, our darling daughter turned 9 years old! That is just unbelieveable...I have a 9 year old??? I feel OLDDD! We definitely remember the events of the day and evening before her birth. They were a tad bit scary...to think my first born was almost born along a MAJOR highway was NOT what I had in mind but it almost became reality. Thankfully, we did make it to the hospital and 10 minutes later Little Abigail Dawn made her appearance. She is such a blessing to us! We were at my Grandma's in Southern Ohio for her birthday. Abigail's Grandma (my mom) bought her an ice cream cake...MMMMM!!! WE thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it! Here are just a few pictures I captured of this BIG event.....We love you, Abigail!

ANSWER TO PRAYER

I have MANY things to blog about but tonight I'm only blogging this one thing and then going to bed. God has answered a MAJOR prayer for us. We have had no RUNNING vehicle since about May 2008. We have borrowed from parents and we are very thankful for their kindness in letting us borrowing them. We bought this car about 2 months ago and when we were to bring it home it quit running! We were very discouraged as we knew we were going to have to stick more money that we don't have into this car now. Thankfully, my uncle is a great mechanic and was able to work on this car and this weekend we were able to drive it home! YEAHHHH!!! God is soooo good to us! Yes, I may be 'oh ye of little faith' because I guess I really wasn't expecting the car to make it home but God came through again and helped us! It sure has boosted my faith in just this matter. Oh yes, the devil may be there tomorrow to try to discourage about something else I can just remind him that GOD IS IN CONTROL!!! Thanks for all those who have prayed for us concerning this matter.
