WORLD'S GREATEST GRANDMOTHER! I LOVE YOU!!

Nanny or La La with Abigail & Zachary

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

PICKIN' TIME AT NANNY'S

Zachary LOVED helping La La (as he calls her) & Paw Paw pick tomatoes, green beans & peas.

My sister, Naomi, helped some also

What Zachary loved most was finding the already rotten tomatoes and throwing them over the hill. HE IS SUCH A BOY!!!!

We were having a breaking bean party!

After all that hard work they had to have a little fun time ~ on the 4 wheeler of all things!!!!

Mommy's little guy has grown some more :-( Zachary decided he wanted to learn to ride his bike without training wheels. So he 'helped' Daddy take them off his bike. I was AMAZED at how QUICKLY he caught on. It wasn't five minutes and he was riding around the yard training wheel free! What a sad time for Mom!!! He starts Kindergarten in 2 weeks. I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to that day!!!

Making GREAT progress!!!!

DADDY IN TRAINING

My sister had went to a yard sale and bought Abigail twin Cabbage Patch Dolls. When Zachary seen them he decided he wanted one too.....so Aunt Hannah went and got Zachary twins also! Here is how Zachary was found this morning, laying on the bed. I think he'll make a GREAT Daddy some day (IF MOMMY DECIDES TO LET HIM MARRY)

A little of everything

RESULTS OF ZACHARY'S MRI

Somehow I missed giving the results of Zachary's MRI and only realized when some of my faithful readers asked about him (THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS!) We got wonderful news and everything looks great with Zachary. He doesn't have to have another MRI for about 2 years (of course that is providing that everything keeps growing properly). The surgeon was very impressed on how well Zachary is doing. We give God all the Glory! As we were leaving the room, the surgeon mentioned to the nurse (thinking we were out of ear shot) how great Zachary really looked & that he was a miracle. Again, God gets ALL the praise! Yes, the doctors did an excellent job, but God had HIS HAND in the situation. Zachary is sure our miracle boy and we believe God has something very special in store for him as he grows! Love ya little guy!

ADVENTURE ON TREASURE ISLAND

All my pictures for this VBS turned out dark :( so I am not putting many on...my children had quite a bit of fun here.

CUSTOM GARAGE

Their snack were very interesting...the first day they made race cars (Pictured above), 2nd day was the garage, 3rd day was a mat made of cheese & cracker and the 4th day was a stop light with brownies. The children LOVED this!

One girl and one boy were to received a bike for the most points. Much to our surprise our precious Abigail won the girls bike. She has been loving it!!!! We can't keep her off it.

These are the littlier children learning the Bible Verse by stacking "presents". They enjoyed it more I think because they could knock them over and then put them back together. After they learned the Scripture they were 'issused' license plate....STAY OFF THE ROADS NOW!

These were a few of the games they played...'tire' toss and a water balloon game which they ALL loved for some reason. I must say they loved it!

'Food' for thought!

I thought this was EXCELLENT! Spoke volumes to my heart! I hope you enjoy it as well.

GOD'S CAKE

Sometimes we wonder, 'What did I do to deserve this?' or 'Why did God have to do this to me?' Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her mother how everything is going wrong: she's failing algebra; her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, 'Absolutely, Mom, I love your cake.' 'Here, have some cooking oil,' her Mother offers. 'Yuck,' says her daughter. 'How about a couple raw eggs?' 'Gross, Mom!' 'Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?' 'Mom, those are all yucky!' To which the mother replies: 'Yes, all those things seem bad by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe and He chose your heart. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

May your day be a piece of cake!!!

UPDATE ON ZACHARY

Well, I meant to update days ago, but it's been TOO BUSY! Zachary did EXCELLENT with his MRI. He was pretty proud of himself also because he didn't cry. Mommy was able to go in with him until he went to sleep so that eased his mind a little. They didn't put the IV's & breathing tube in until after he was asleep so that was good too. Here are a few pictures of his day. We will not have the results of the next until next week at his doctor appt.

Here is Zachary with his puppy, Spot, who he got to take with him. This picture was while waiting to be checked in.

Here he is in his cute little hospital gown. Such a handsome little fellow!

This was just after he came out & was in recovery. They like for them to eat a popsicle or drink some juice before leaving but Zachary doesn't not eat popsicles and ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT touch juice (he is an ALL WATER BOY) so they said he could go home if we watched him, Of course this mother keeps a very close on her 'baby' anyway!!!!! He did great though. By the time we got home (an hour later) you would have never known he had been through all that. Usually he is very droggy after these tests and sleeps much of the rest of the day, but this time he was not. PRAISE THE LORD! Zachary is definitely our little miracle child! We believe the Lord has definitely got something special in store for his little life.

Prayer for Zachary

If you think of Zachary (and Mommy) around 1:00 this afternoon, please say a little prayer for him. He is going for a routine MRI, but it's around this time I always tend to get a little nervous. While everything may appear to be fine something could be wrong. His last surgery we only need something was wrong because of flu symptoms lasting longer than normal. Long story short, please pray that everything will be fine. While we won't know the results till the dr appt next Thursday we still covet prayers. Zachary is having a rough day already. He isn't allowed to eat (because of anesthesia) and he fell asleep at 9:30 last night so he is VERY hungry! Mommy's heart is breaking watching her little guy have to go through this, but we know it has to been done. ANYWAY!!!!! All this is to pray that everythingwill be fine today.
