Bridal Shower

Guess it is time for another update...things have just been EXTREMELY busy around here as I am sure it has been with everyone else. Here are just a couple of things that have kept us occupied........On September 13th Abigail & I attended the Bridal Shower of my niece, Lynette. It's hard to believe this 'little girl' that was my flower girl 12 years ago is now preparing for her wedding in less than a month. WHERE HAS TIME GONE!!!! Her shower was very nice and she received many things she will need in the years to come. Here are just a few pictures I took (as a side note for GENENE...I was nice and left out yours *SMILES* it was sure hard though)

Here is the Bride-To-Be...Lynette

This was the cake her Future Mother In Law made..she painted the little people on there to match the Wedding Colors. GREAT JOB DEE DEE!

The first table was her gift table. The 2nd table was also gifts but this was things people for Lynette. They introduced themselves using the gift as it had to begin with the letter of their name ex: S=soap, shampoo or something that associates with S (CLEAR AS MUD?)

Lynette with her Mom & Lynette with her Mother & Grandma Downer

Lynette with her Sister, Kayla & Lynette with Grandma Watters

Lynette with Aunt Sarah (that's me of course) & then that's me with my darling little daughter who can't wait till she gets married! I CAN DEFINITELY WAIT!!!!!

Where Were You?

My mind goes back to this tragic day 7 years ago. I was teaching in a little school when all this took place. My baby (21 months old) was at my mom's a couple blocks away from me and my husband was a work. I remember just wanting my family to be together at that time even while this wasn't close to us as far as distance wise. Things were so uncertain during those following days! I'm glad during those moments and even today I can say with the song " I can trust Jesus, He takes care of me!"

Abigail's First Day of 3rd Grade

I just realized that I have neglected to put pictures on here of my 'not so little' girl who started 3rd Grade this year! This year has taken a new direction for her and for me. I've been feeling the Lord leading me to Home School her. Some may have the opinion it was 'others' who gave us this decision but I believe with all my heart it is the Lord leading. To be honest, no one has even mentioned I needed to do this. I've put MANY of "fleeces" out as this was a BIG step for us and wanted to be sure this was TRULY the Lord. One MAJOR decision was my work schedule. I was working a full time job and I knew in order to homeschool I would need to cut back. Right now my income is NEEDED so I knew cutting out my entire income wasn't possible. I cut back to 24 hours a week to see if we could manage and things have been going very well. Oh we are not rich by no means in the worlds eyes, but I feel I will be richer Spiritually for following God. God has already blessed us in so many ways. We don't have the best of everything, but we have EACH OTHER! We may not get those things we want now, but we have what we NEED! Believe me, we are not going hungry. ANYWAY, this is about Abigail's 3rd Grade year!

Abigail on her first day of school ~ Yup this is her school-HOME

When we took Zachary to 'Meet your Teacher' night at school we stopped in to see where Abigail would have been. She was a little disappointed because the teacher she really wanted was going to be her teacher this year. We took a few pictures there. Her sadness didn't last long because she does enjoy being at home and being able to go places with me IF I happen to go anyway.

This is her little desk where she does her school work

School is about to start for one little guy!

WHERE TO START....let me get the tissue box first! My 'baby' went to meet his teacher tonight. While he is VERY excited about Kindergarten, mommy is realizing the time is flying!!! It's hard to believe he is this grown up. Here are a few pictures...I'm sure there will be more when school actually starts next Tuesday. I will probably be part owner in the tissue company for a while *smiles*

Posing in front of a tree and then on his way to school

Opening the door and Zachary with Mrs. Wozniak (can you imagine these Kindergarteners saying her name LOL....he actually says it pretty good though)
