Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
February 29th, 1956 will ALWAYS be remembered in the Mayle household and not just because it was Leap Day...for it was this day about 3:10 in the afternoon that Cathy Jean Mayle joined the family. She was the 3rd of 5 Children. She later met my Dad and they married and 3 years later I entered the pictures. No, I'm not at all good the words, but I can say I have the Best Mother! While I put her through turmoil in those teen years, she continued to love me through them. My daughter isn't a teen yet, but believe me, I think I'm beginning to feel what my mom went through. Oh yes, I have lots of years left with mine, but I think I will have to spend them on my knees, PRAYING!!! All I can say is THANKS MOM FOR NOT GIVING UP ON ME! I am sure sometimes I seemed impossible and I kept you on your knees. While I didn't value your advice then, I treasure it now. Thanks for all you did and all you continue to do. I appreciate it more than you'll ever now. I don't say it often enough, but THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I LOVE YOU!
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me
God’s Masterpiece is Mother
God took the fragrance of a flower...
The majesty of a tree...
The gentleness of morning dew...
The calm of a quiet sea...
The beauty of the twilight hour...
The soul of a starry night...
The laughter of a rippling brook...
The grace of a bird in flight...
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when his masterpiece was through
He called it simply - Mother.
